The Wisdom Cognitive Health Assessment at UMP Wellness & Metabolic Centre is designed specifically to access congnitive function, identifying cognitive impairment as earky as possible. The assessment is managed by our Specialist in Geriatatric Medicine. The dration of the entire assessment os approximately one hour.

This assessment aims to identify risk factors for adverse health problems among our elders, alerting them, to red-flag and maintaining good health. Our detailed physical examination includes assessment of the brain, eyes, hearing, chest and lungs, the prostate (amongest men), physical function (including motor ability, balance, grip, swallowing) and cognitive function.

One of the key aspects of stroke prevention is controlling the possible risk factors. Atrial fibrilltion (AF) is a type of irregular heartbeat that can cause blood clots to form in your heart. Having atrial fibrilation increases your risk of stroke by 5 times and death by 2 times. This program aims to prevent the risk of stroke among patients with pre-existing atrial fibrillation through regular monitoring and disease control.
